The beach has always been my happy place because of the peace it gives me. I value time when I can let go of the worries in the world and focus on the beauty surrounding me. I have been going to Santa Monica beach since I was very young, which has made this place feel like a second home. There is something powerful about looking into the distant ocean and watching the sunset or watching waves crash one by one. Being someone who doesn't always have a lot of time to relax, I value the soothing factor it provides me with. Going into the ocean might not sound like the most exciting idea to me, but being able to stare into its soul is extremely calming. Due to the calming factor at this beach, I tend to find this place ideal for songwriting. The only other place I usually song write is by the piano in my own home, which is another reason why I am extremely attached to this beach. The ocean always opens up new doors in my songwriting by bringing out my most authentic side. Considering I have been going to this beach for so many years, it is very familiar and welcoming, which makes it stand out as an important part of my community. Santa Monica beach's sentimental aspects will continue to provide me with feelings of comfort and joy.
